Our Story…

Taylor United Methodist Church was established in the village of Taylor, Mississippi, near the turn of the twentieth century. The first member was placed on the church register in 1901 and Reverend R. B. Neblett, Taylor UMC's first pastor, began serving the church in 1902.

Our historic and recently restored church structure was built in the early 1920s. (Until the last 20 years upon visiting this congregation you would find a wood burning heater in the sanctuary for warmth in the winter.) In 2006 we added a beautiful new Fellowship Hall under the leadership of Rev. Annett Ford, to accommodate the activities of our growing congregation

Our pastor, Reverend Eddie Willis, has been serving our church since December 2014, first as an interim pastor, then, as of January 1, 2015, as our full-time, appointed pastor by the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church.
